Highlands, North Carolina is known for its majestic views and calming atmosphere but during the summer garden festival, Mountains in Bloom, the beauty is beyond compare. Garden enthusiasts enter the Flower Show & Photography Competition while spectators can attend the Mountains in Bloom Party at The Bascom to view an exquisite nature exhibit. Following the exhibit, there are cocktails is the garden and fabulous food is served. "Mountains in Bloom is the event of the season" and becomes a little more glamorous each year.
